FYF Braai!

Wow, i can't believe that we are all ready through with one semester of school!!! That's just crazy, as one of my little pre-schooler's use to say. So as with everything, there is always a closing to an event or group. So for the first semester of FYF - First Year Friends - we decided to have a braai (pretty much like a cookout) at my house!!! It was great, we had lots of good food, good friends, and lots of laughs!!! Can't wait till next semester to start!!

This is our FYF group!!!

You always have time to play some games...

and shots some hoops!!

Christmas in November!!

Every Friday night we have Campus Outreach! So for our last one of this semester we had Christmas Carols by candle light! I know it's a month early, but come on you have to get into the Christmas spirit somehow in this heat! We had so much fun, and i'm not even kidding!!! After singing 12 days of Christmas twice and the electriy being off for the first part, we broke it down by kicking up of heels and dancing our hearts out!!! Merry Christmas!

Bontsi working hard lighting all the candles.

Everyone singing to our fav carols

Norma, lifting her candle high as we are all encourage to go out into the world and shine for Christ.

Of course we can't get together and not dance, and no one can brake it down better then Terry! Go girl!!!

Executive Leadership Team!

How else do you celebrate a successful year? Duh, by eating!! For the end of this year and all the hard work that the Leadership Team did, Randy and Kittie, invited everyone over to their house for a home cooked dinner!!

These are the team leaders of our ministry teams at the student center.

Wabo, giving one of her killer smiles after dinner

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Oh my goodness is November the month for eating or what? With the braai, then the leadership dinner, plus TWO Thanksgiving meals, and then a day of mac 'n cheese!!! What's a girl to do?? I know enjoy, and enjoy i did! I celebrated my first Thanksgiving dinner in style down in Lobatse with some of the missionaries from Gabs. Then on Saturday i crossed over to South Africa meet up with a few other American's and ate again! Two Thanksgiving dinner's and only one casualty. My right hand!! I suffered my first - first degree burn on Thanksgiving day, while i was trying to see which stove eye (or plate as there called here) was hot....well as you can tell i found it!! Do you know how many people have told me how to tell which eye was on???? Yes now i know to sprinkle water on the eye and listen for it to sizzle....hum, i wonder if it sounds like my hand did?! hahahaha...

Our first Thanksgiving down in Laboste, with some of the other missy's

Hi mom, this is just for you!!! Come on it's my first, 1st degree burn i have to show it off!! Now i only have gauze on two fingers and a big bandage on my palm, but i no longer have to hold the ice pack!

Mac 'n Cheese!

Well i've travled the world (well not all, but some of it) and i have finally found someone that likes macaroni and cheese as much as i do!! Yes, i'm so excited!!! My friend Karen, that i met on our Student Retreat eariler this year, she totally digs so good ol' mac 'n cheese!!! So last Sunday, she and Ndozah, another friend, came over and we pigged out on mac 'n cheese. With the added bonus of me teaching them about the good ol' south and small towns with the help of Sweet Home Alabama and Runaway Bride all in order to help prepare me for my visit home!

Ndozah, Karen, and myself after our all day girl fest of macaroni and cheese and girl flicks and you can't forget the chocolate!
