Victoria Falls!!

Whoa, so i've wanted to go to Victoria Falls since i was like in 7th grade so to get to go was incredible! It was so awesome, although it was said that the water was low, but you could have fooled me. That only means that we'll have to go back when the water is up! So with the water being so low we where able to see the rocks beneath the falls and it totally provided for some awesome rafting time!! Ok as far as the rafting is concerned look at the picture of the top of the falls. Now imagine the very bottom, where the Zambezi is, then you can picture me climbing out of that huge gorge after a full day of rafting...yeah not a pretty sight, but totally worth it!! Our trip to Vic Falls came at a perfect time for all of us just to get away and relax, we had a blast!

Vic Falls.

A place in the falls called Devil's Cataract.

Proof that me, Brandy, Reema, and Stacie (L-R) where actually at Victoria Falls!||

I just love water, and thanks to Stacie i have this way cool up close and personal picture of a hippo. Although i think it may want to think about flossing in the near future! hahaha

This is our lodge that we stay at, pretty cool huh?

So we have our mosquito nets and handy dandy weird masks, what more could we ask for?

White Water Rafting!

I've realized Africa is as good as place as any to try out new things. Like flying alone for the very first time all the way over here, flipping a car, getting a pedicue, and now for my first white water rafting experience i pick the Great Zambezi?! Come on i must have a screw loose or something! But hey after getting sucked down into a whirlpool thinking this was the end, it kind of does something to a person! Who cares though, this trip was awesome! I only fell out of the boat once to the amazement of all and myself included - but then again it was the only time the boat capsized & we all fell out! So it shouldn't count against me. Hey I would totally and do recommend it to everyone!!!

We're on top of the world!

Or maybe not, this is pretty much what i imagine the rinse cycle to be in the washing machine...

umm, can you pick me out? I'm the one in the yellow helmet holding on for dear life!! It was so much fun!!!!

Journeyman Retreat!!

Amazing!! In the middle of this month we had a Journeyman retreat for all of CESA (Central, Eastern, Southern, Africa) down in Johannesburg, South Africa. I was so excited to get there, and then to finally see 3 of my old friends from MLC (training) and then to meet so many new and interesting people, it was awesome, i just had so much fun! It was great time of sharing and encouraging one another, and just finding out what is going on with other people also doing the j-man program. It was incredible!!

All one big and happy family in the CESA region!

The Botswana girls (from L-R) Reema, Brandy, Crystal, Stacie, and yours truly.

These are our totally serious and down to earth guys!

Old roommate, new roommate. I lived with Kari (R) while i was at MLC and now Brandy (L) and i live and work together out in Masunga.

Game Park!

Game park time!! By now i've been to a few game parks, but it never really gets dull. Especailly this time, because we where able to actually pet some of the little ones! Plus i finally got to see a rhino, that almost completes my list of must see animals.

Mama rhino and baby.

A cheeetah taking it easy, or at lest it was before we came along.

Look how awesome these Gemsbok look!

Animal Preschool?!

So at the game park they had a place called an animal "cruch" which means preschool. I will have to say that these little preschoolers where a lot more rambunctions then may little guys back home. Then again we did go right before lunch time, so it's no wonder that i got pounced on!! I'm so serious this little lion cub, well he wasn't so little, totally jumped on me to the amusement of all around!! It kind of makes me wonder if i where to make my kids at home wait to long for their goldfish (little crackers) if they would pounce on Miss Carmel?! Just a thought...

Look at me i'm a big boy, i can go down all by myself.

Some friends out for a stroll.

Quick take the picture, i'm being ganged up on!!

Dinner!!

Ok, so what do you do after you've spent all day looking at wild animals roam around? You go out and eat 'em of course!! That is just what we did, we had our choice of Impala, Crocodile, Zebra, or Ostrich, and many more. To tell the truth I actually ate some of all of them, but i will have to say that although Zebra's are my favorite animals to look at they also taste pretty good too!

Don't get in the way of a bunch of hungry jouneryman...gggrrrrrr......
