Children's Day!

At the very first of this month we had a mission team come out to Botswana to do some ministry work in the upper North East area. Well they came to Masunga and we had a blast just having an evening of fun for the little ones! It was so great, they had songs, dances, face paint, and stories! Oh it reminded me of working with the preschool kids back in the states. The next day the team went to another village and did just about the same thing again, but meet underneath a big yellow and blue tent, no way could anyone miss it so there where tons of kids there!! The team did a good job with the children, and this team was made up of all different ages. So i just want to encourage all of you out there, that if you feel like God wants you to go somewhere and serve for a few days, don't like age be the thing to hold you back! Get going!! you could even come out to Botswana and work with me!!

What a cutie?!

The girls are having a blast!

Tattoo's!!!! Everybody wanted a cool tattoo, amazing what a little water and a sticker can do?!! The kids loved it!

They also loved making cool designs while slinging paint aroung. It even got the older ones attention.

Singing & dancing, and praising the Lord!!

What goes up.....

Must come down! Newton has nothing on me!!

These little guys where having their own party on the side lines, are they not the cutest little boys ever?!!

Form 3 Camp!

When you finish Form 3, which is roughly 9th or 10th grade back in the states, you have to go out with a bang! I mean this is one of the major accomplishes in a young person's life here. At the end of Form 3 they have to take these exams that are accumulative of the past three years and if they don't pass they can't go on to Senior School!!! So it is a big deal to finish, and with that being the case we had a Form 3 camp in Francistown for anyone anywhere that had completed Form 3. It was a great time for the youth to kick back and relax and have fun. There was of course lots of food, games, movies, and plenty of laughs! We also had good meaty devotions, and even took them to volunteer at a local handicap school. God ready did a mighty work that week in the lives and hearts of the kids that came. Praise the Lord!!

Getting ready to play Stomp Out. Can you guess what is going to get stomped on?

Hello like any camp i'm apart of isn't going to have an arts & carfts time?!! The kids made tin hearts with a cross it to give away to a group of handicapped children we went to visit later in the week.

Birds and Game!

Although Francistown isn't known for it's 'wild life' there is a small almost zoo like place that does have some different types of birds and small animals to look at. So we took the former Form 3's, as they like to be called, to game park one afternoon and it turned out to have a few surprises for all of us!!

I'm taller then these ostriches!!! Does it still count even though their babies?....hahahaha

I forgot what these are called, but aren't they posed nicely?

The reason there is a glare is because i'm in front of the glass with all the sane people, and Brandy is behind the glass with a stupid deadly snake!!! At this rate i wonder if i'll have her as a roommate for much longer!? hahaha

True Love Waits!

This was the last week of classes, and to what we have been teaching in our classes since the beginning of the year. Everything that we have been teaching our students was designed to help them make better and wiser decisions based on Godly principles. Well, as you can guess the biggest decision that any kid anywhere can make, after accepting Jesus as his savior, is to remain abstinent from sex and follow God's plan for marriage. So at the end of our time with the student we present them with the question and choice of abstinence. Obviously they can make the decision not have sex without signing the True Love Waits cards, but it helps for them to make the decision now and take a stand instead of waiting till it's to late to really think things through. I'm very happy to say that I had a good response from the students, please pray with me for these young students to stay strong in their decision to remain abstinent and to grow close to the Lord.

Here they are signing the cards!

It was awesome that so many of them took a step out from the rest of their classmates and want to abstain till marriage!

Sleep Over!

Girls just want to have fun, yeah girls just wanna have fun....Hey it's a song so just imagine that you are listening to it on the radio instead of reading it here. Anyway, that's just what we did last Friday night in Francistown - have fun! What better way to celebrate school being out for the entire country?! So the girls that attend Girl's Club, in Francistown, decided the end the year with a sleep over, or could it be called stay over since sleep had very little to do with it? hahaha. Anyway along with lots & lots of food, movies, games, uno, and of course girl talk we had a mini praise session and devotion time. The girls had a wonderful time. I will admit that i did go to sleep (well after mid-night though) since i'm getting to be a fourth of a century old in just 37 days! Hint that's on January 6th in case you don't want to count...

Some where just chillin' on the couches and floors...

Other's wehre playing games and puzzles on the tables.

Grace!!!

Oh my gosh, i'm so excited Grace is here!!! After months and months of talking about it and planning she finally touched down yesterday!! Grace has been one of my closest friends since i've gotten here. We where the only single girls at 40/40 way back when in Kenya, and haven't seen each other in 7 months. She works up in Uganda but she is going to be here for an entire month!! She is even going to come with us to Cape Town for Christmas!!! This is going to be so much fun!! If you thought i had stories to tell from camping with this girl in Kenya you've not heard nothing yet!!!!!!

Here it comes again....DOUBLE TROUBLE!!!
