Ice-Cream!!

So we all know that i personally think that ice cream should have it's own place in the food pyrimd, that's why our ice-cream social for the off campus students was totally something i was all for! Our visitation team put this all together as a way for the off campus students to come by and know that we where thinking about them. We do visitation, but that's on-campus, it's really hard to know and find where the off-campus students live. So what better way to show them we care then ice-cream!!!

Who said you couldn't do two things at once?!

B-ball is the name of this game. Looks like i did a pretty good job of teaching them some of my game skills!!! hahaha...if you believe that then, i've got a nice little investment that we need to talk about....

Domionoes is becaming the all time favorite game of the student center. Now this i did help teach a little.

You scream, i scream, we all scream for ice cream!! Amo, me, and Evans all smiles after we finished all the ice cream!!

Cheetha Time!!

A few weeks ago Stacie and Reema came down from Francistown and Shawna came up from Lobatse to hang in the big city of Gabs (Gaborone if you want to get technical about it). You have got to love a place where you can go to the mall that's just 15 mintues away from your house then drive on down the road another 30 - 45 mintues and you go to a game park and see wild animals all in one day! This is my kind of town!! The main reason we went was to pet the cheetha's. I don't know about you, but i really didn't have a clue about them. So i listened very closely to Stacie as she told me about how thier claws are always being out and such. Then to make me even more nervous our little guide said these where "semi-wild" cheetha's. Hum, i prefer my cheetha's tame or at lest use to more people. This is a small game park so i wasn't to sure about how friendly the cheetha's would be. Needless to say that i was nevous, plus when you get in there with the cheetha's they peerrrr....or i should say sounds like a motor boat. Never fear though i survived my time with the 4 footed mammal and here are the pictures to show it!!

Cheetah on the prowl!!!

Reema, Shawna, me, and Stacie (L-R) posing with our friendly neighborhood cheetah!!

As always Reema makes fast friends with the beast....

While Stacie goes on a walk with the thing...

While i'm just brave enough to pose with the "semi-wild" animal!!

Elephants!

So after our little play time with the cheetas, we ran into my supervior and her son down by the lake/pound watching the elephants. For some reason i like looking at the elephants. I don't know they just remind me big dogs playing around. I know it's not true, hello i have been swiming with them and one almost charge toward me once while i was driving, but when they are far away playing in the water they just seem cute and fun with no cares in the world.

Shawna, Reema, Kittie (my supervisor), me, Patrick (Kittie's son) and Stacie trying to pose with the elephants behind us, but well as you can see it didn't work so well...

Here are the elephants in clear view having a good time playing in the water! splish splash!!

Um, the elephants where in a hurry to leave so needless to say we got in a hurry to leave real fast too!!
